«O» в движении
In this video I'll be showing you how we connect the gesture of awe with walking a circle, as we also use in our course dealing with different forms of nervousness to take hold of the body in a more generous and self confident manner in conditions of anxiety and frightfulness.
At first, I suggest that you walk a circle forwards to the right and backwards on the left.
You may notice what happens to most people that the half going forwards is nice and full and round, and that the second half going back becomes skinny, smaller, and one doesn't return to one starting point.
So you could mark the ground like this with a mat.
And then walk around it and notice whether you've really walked around it or whether you've taken a shortcut.
You can create the o in different ways, from the heart as a strongly formed circle where the arms are rounded and the fingers come together.
You can create it with the shoulders and wings, which spread out and then come together as if creating a lovely cloak with your aura.
Or as I showed you in the video, the basic gesture of awe in two stages.
First, streaming out from the heart and then connecting with the periphery and allowing the rays of the surroundings to bring the hands together.
Create an oar on your path going forwards to the right.
So that the gesture is completed when you have completed half of the circle.
Let go and do the same on the path going backwards.
See that the two activities take the same amount of time.
That the arm gesture comes to completion then when the half circle is completed.
Now the dialogue phase begins.
You move the arm so that you notice that the arm movement influences the legs.
The arm starts to move and its forces take the legs along.
The arms move.
The legs walk.
You may notice that the forces in the arms allows the form to become bigger and also brings you back to the starting point.
Mostly, I allow the arms to sync once I've completed the form.
If we are, as here, increasingly accelerating the movement, then that's not necessary anymore.
What is important is to completely relax the body all the way through after completing the awe.
Allow the arms to return to the heart and only then start anew out of the power of the heart.
You start slowly, the arms connecting with the legs and leading the steps.
Relax.
The arms start, and only once they are active do they take the legs along.
And then slowly accelerating.
Control this with the power of the arms.
Not with physical strength, but rather with their force that unfolds.
Pay attention that you don't think now I should walk fast and then proceed to willfully walk through the room with big steps.
Try to really allow the strength in the gesture to carry you in a smooth course around the circle.
Finish off by creating a slow awe gesture.
Very slowly, while still being led by the strength of the oar gesture.
On the reverse path, the left arm gives me space and then brings me back.
On arrival, take time.
Relax.
Take note of how you feel, how your body feels, how your breath responds, what the aftereffects of the movements feel like.
